We are AEO-C certified

AEO (Authorised Economic Operator)

Increasing globalization and the changed international security situation have prompted the World Customs Organization (WCO) to create a worldwide framework for modern and effective risk management in customs administrations. A key element of this security initiative in the European Union is the introduction of the status of AEO (Authorized Economic Operator). The aim is to secure the continuous global supply chain.

The certification bears the following identifier:
ORBITALUM TOOLS GmbH / AEO certificate DE AEOC 119822; effective from 05.06.2014.

The AEO-C status identifies ORBITALUM TOOLS as a powerful and reliable partner within the entire supply chain.

Our products meet an ever increasing eco-efficiency. This means that the products are becoming more efficient while maintaining or reducing the environmental impact in the production and use phase.

Our goal is to understand and meet customer requirements regarding environmentally friendly products and services and thus to be a competent partner for our environmentally conscious customers.

We achieve this on the one hand through environmentally compatible product design and production processes, but also through intensive dialogue with our customers in order to get to know their needs and to continuously coordinate our market services.

WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU)

Our products are subject to the European WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU). We fulfil the required obligations and draw your attention to the following: Old electrical appliances must not be disposed of in household waste. Consumers are legally obliged to take them to a suitable collection point. Please note that commercially used electrical and electronic equipment (B2B) may not be disposed of at municipal collection points. Orbitalum Tools GmbH is registered in Germany since 2005 with the EAR foundation under the WEEE-Reg. No. DE 67192550.

 

Return of batteries

Some of our devices are powered by rechargeable batteries. Accumulators and ­batteries marked with the ­symbol next to ­the ­symbol must not be disposed of together with household waste according to EU Directive 2006/66/EC. In the case of batteries containing harmful substances, the ­chemical symbol for the heavy metal contained is indicated below the waste garbage can:

Cd = Cadmium
Hg = Mercury
Pb = Lead

The following applies to Germany: The end consumer is ­obliged to return defective or used batteries to the distributor or to the collection points set up for this purpose.

 

RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS 2 Directive)

Orbitalum Tools GmbH (Orbitalum) hereby declares that all products supplied by Orbitalum to you are in compliance with the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU dated June 8, 2011 and the Delegated Directive (EU) 2015/863 dated March 31, 2015 amending Annex II of Directive 2011/ 65/EU of the European Parliament and Council with regard to the list of restricted substances.
Compliance is documented by a written declaration of our suppliers. Orbitalum takes, if necessary, the RoHS-exemptions for RoHS-conformity (according to 2011/65/EU, Annex III) for individual components at component level: 6a, 6b, 6c, 7a, 7c. II, 8b and 8b. I are claimed.
Orbitalum products that have been removed from the sales program are excluded from the confirmation of this declaration.

 

REACh (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals)

Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) regulates the manufacture, placing on the market and use of chemicals and mixtures thereof.
In terms of the REACH regulation, our products are articles. In accordance with Article 33 of the REACH Regulation, suppliers of articles must inform their customers if the supplied article contains a substance on the REACH Candidate List (SVHC list) in contents greater than 0.1 mass percent. On 27.06.2018 lead (CAS: 7439-92-1 / EINECS: 231-100-4) was added to the candidate list SVHC. This inclusion triggers an information obligation in the supply chain.
We hereby inform you that individual sub-components of our products contain lead in contents of more than 0.1 % by weight as an alloying element   in steel, aluminium and copper alloy as well as in solders and capacitors of electronic components. The lead contents are within the defined exceptions of the RoHS directive.
