Learning beyond the workplace
Trainees support again at the Vesperkirche in Singen
At the beginning of the year, the Lutherkirche in Singen becomes a “roadside inn” for two weeks and opens its doors to anyone who wants to stop by. Between steaming plates, friendly glances, and lots of conversation, it becomes clear what the Vesperkirche is all about: community. In the midst of everyday life, a place of warmth is created: everyone gives what they can and want to give – and everyone is welcome.
Commitment that connects
The Vesperkirche in Singen has become an integral part of city life. It thrives on donations, volunteer support, and many helping hands. The trainees at Orbitalum Tools GmbH got involved again this year and helped out on January 28 with serving food, waiting tables, and wherever else help was needed. Antonia Maurer, Orbitalum Tools' training officer, and Susanne Bohnenstengel, responsible for HR, also helped out at the Vesperkirche.
“The Vesperkirche shows our trainees how much an open ear, a friendly gesture, and working together can achieve, and that true encounters take place where one person listens and the other feels seen,” says Antonia Maurer, training officer at Orbitalum Tools. “This commitment not only strengthens social awareness, but also team spirit.”
Orbitalum is proud to be part of this project again in 2026 with its trainees and to actively live out its social responsibility.
