Orbital Welding Systems & Accessories
Orbital welding describes a process in which an arc is rotated mechanically around a static workpiece.
Orbital is derived from the Latin word Orbis, which means circle.
Orbital welding is used today wherever very high quality demands are made on the weld seam. These demands are not only limited to strength or X-ray safety, but also to the shape of the seam. For many users, the flat, uniform root, which can be achieved with low roughness, is the primary criterion for the use of the process.
